Where would you be without teachers? Would you be able to read this sentence? From an early age, teachers nourish us with knowledge and guidance. If you have been particularly inspired by a teacher, or maybe you have the desire to inspire others, then why not step up and become a teacher? Teachers need a strong educational foundation. These institutions have a long history of supporting education through their advocacy, higher education programs and scholarships. Check with your school to see which education scholarships are available. At small, private liberal arts colleges founded specially to educate teachers there may be a bounty of awards available. These schools, found across the country, have a rich history of supporting the education of teachers through advocacy and scholarships. State governments and school systems also provide scholarships and continuing education to current and future teachers. For example, a state may offer education scholarships to future teachers training in certain areas. If a state is in dire need of math teachers they may offer education scholarships to encourage future math teachers.
