Here's how to massively lift your putting

By: Len McGrane

Golfers, all over the world, want to have a better putt.

Some of this is because we think that the better golfers have no problem putting and make short work of any green every time. (Completely not right, obviously. Pro golfers are better than us, but they also miss plenty of putts.)

And also due to the way the green focuses our attention. I mean, most of us hardly ever condemn ourselves when what we hoped would be a massive drive falls short by three yards. But we kick ourselves when our putt fails by three inches!

Turn your quiet disappointment into some positive practice routines and become a better putter.

Get the use of a flat (very flat) green where you can work on your putt without having to also practice adjusting for break and slope at the same time. (Reducing your circumstances down to the one thing you want to work on is a key to improving your putt.)

Position the face of your putter so it is square to your line with the hole. And hit the ball.

Many people lift their putting by working on this.

Do this for weeks. Until you can consistently put the ball in the hole on your practice green.

As you hit the ball square on, you'll notice your confidence levels rise. And the effect of this on your score card will be obvious to the people you play with.
