How to Lose 10 Pounds For a Big Date

The good news: You've got a big date on Saturday night. The bad news: That means you only have one week to lose some weight! And now you've probably been looking at yourself in the mirror, randomly cursing and wondering how to lose ten pounds by wishing it off. Better come up with some other ideas, Cinderella, because wishing won't solve your problems now. But don't fret: You CAN do it. Read on to find out how!

Water, Water, and more Water!

Yes, that's what I said: Water.

If you need to lose that weight quickly, water can help you do it. The human body naturally retains water. When we drink it in excess, our bodies let go of that death grip they use to stingily keep hold of that extra water. Really, it's very possible for you to shed pounds you don't need in a week or less.

If you want to know how to lose 10 pounds, drink 100 ounces of water this week every day.

But if you're like many people and hate the thought of drinking so much water, you could always improve the taste with a squirt of lime or lemon. Sweeten it with a slight dab of honey if you have to, but drink your butt off. Literally!

Eat Smaller Portions.

A lot people don't know that you can lose 10 pounds by eating more meals a day. Instead of eating three large meals, it's better to eat 6 smaller meals a day. You heard that right: 6 meals every day. The trick is to make them much smaller than a normal-sized meal.

Just to give you an idea of a good portion size, you could have 1/2 cup of spinach alongside a 1 or 2 ounce cut of lean meat. You do that and you'll be able to impress Mr. Hot Pant with the slimmer you.

But don't go cutting back on food so much that you starve your body! Just eat those smaller meals more often and drink tons of water.

What a relief it will be to fit into that gorgeous dress you bought for Saturday night. And afterwards, you can celebrate with a little Rocky Road!
