Without going into too many details, you must have heard that a lot of people go to Mexico to get their teeth fixed. The cost is much cheaper than what you would be charged from a dentist in the USA. well you read surely some story, or even there are people that talk about their experience in blogs or in YouTube, and they inform others about how their dental work was performed in Mexico. Maybe it is a little too general suggesting to cross the border and to find a dentist... Well, in a big country like Mexico, you can't go just to the first place that you may find, you need someone to tell you where to find a good Mexican dentist. The dentists in Mexico are regulated like in USA by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the AACD association, that has about 7500 members that are from 59 different countries. I am not saying that going down to Mexico, it can be the only alternative you have, in fact I am sure that there are doctors from Santo Domingo, or Costa Rica, or other places too, that offer a good service at a good price. Cosmetic dentistry can be taken care in a lot of places, and for a much more affordable price than in the USA, just like in Mexico. what we are talking is not the only available alternative, to have your teeth fixed at a reasonable price. There is a way tough to get a good deal with the Mexican dentists, is making sure to decide the price for the total of the treatment. Don't allow them to add any additional service after you make a deal at the time of your first visit. In other words, a good Mexican dentist has to give you a free consultation and stick with the price of the treatment that is decided at the very first visit. You can definitely trust a Mexican dentist, but you have to make sure that the doctor uses the highest standard of care about your teeth, you have to be sure that the doctor is certified by the American association, look for the license exposed in the dental studio, and don't make any deal over the Internet, go personally for a free consultation, if they don't give it to you, it is a risk, so after your firs visit you make your decision. To be sure you get a good dental work in Mexico, the best way is asking someone who has already got a dental work done in Mexico, if you don't know anybody, look for blogs were people talk about their dental work. I saw some posts from people that went down to Mexico and they say exactly where they went and how it was, reading comments from other people, it is far the safest way to get a good job done for a great price. A detail, that can make the difference, is whether or not the doctor speaks English, some doctors have the secretary or a person that translates for you in Spanish, but this is not the same as when you are able to talk directly to the doctor, even if he doesn't speak perfect English, that is fine, but you don't want to be translated from anybody when it comes to explain your sintoms and what you want your dental work like, so in the free consultation you have to make sure that the doctor is able to speak directly to you in English. Finding a good dentist in Mexico, even if you don't know anybody, is not hard at all, there are so many doctors out there that can give you an affordable price, can make a good dental work, and give you all the comfort you need. One thing you don't have to do, is walking to the first dentist studio just after crossing the border, because your teeth are very important and a good Mexican doctor is there waiting for you to take care of your mouth, but you have to choose the best you can.
