NOKs Technologies Business Goals

By:

After reviewing the feedback we got from the market in Israel and after analyzing present and future market trends we would like to release the next version of NOKs Collecting Battles on the game consoles. Furthermore, since our target consumers plays games mainly on portable game devices, and these devices are new in the market, we believe that the game has great chances of success if developed for Nintendo DS, currently the dominant handheld game player for kids, and for the future Sony PSP.

NOKs Technologies has also set an additional goal of developing a platform, a kids game engine for those handhelds, allowing other game companies to use it for their games. As this specific market is young, such engines do not exist yet. As new devices are going to enter the market, the need for compatibility will rise, and game companies will seek cross-platform layers.

The same exact behavior was eminent on the main console market: with three prominent platforms (X-Box, GameCube and PS2), and many license-oriented games aimed towards the mass audience, game companies are using standard game engines to take a combined development effort for the three platforms at once.

In addition to selling the game in stores, NOKs Collecting Battles can also be bundled with different retail kids products and be used for sales promotion, since NOKs collection of characters is basically unlimited. The game is designed in such a way that more and more characters can be added at any time. This Collection and Exchange platform makes it an ideal promotion tool. Sales promotion deals offering a number of NOKs with every purchase of a certain product might also be achievable.
