Stacy Haiduk on Her All My Children Return

Star of All My Children, Stacy Haiduk, is set to return to the popular daytime drama on Friday,September 14, as Hannah Nichols, Zachary Slater's (Thorsten Kaye) ex-lover. The last time viewers saw her was in May before she left the show and told executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers that she still wanted to return.

'I just told her, ‘This is so much fun. I'd love to come back. I have no idea how this works, but...' And she said, 'You know, let's see what happens.' I'm very blessed that I got 'Hannah comes back!' It's pretty awesome,' Haiduk explained in a conversation with SoapOpera Digest.

Known for playing Lana Lang in the Superboy series, the 39-year-old actress first joined the castof All My Children in March. She eventually enjoyed the more flexible work schedule of daytime television after working on the series.

'Probably in the middle of shooting [my first run], I looked at Thorsten and I said, ‘This is so much fun. You guys are theluckiest people on earth because you get to have a life outside of work aswell,' Stacy Haiduk recalled. 'In night time, you work 14 or 15 hours a day, you come home exhausted, and that's it. Here, you usually work the morning shift or the afternoon shift.'

Stacy Haiduk's Hannah left Pine Valley in May, asking Zach to impregnate her. However, it wasn't revealed whether or not Zach agreed to her request. Surprisingly, even Haiduk didn't know about the outcome of Hannah's arc, but now that she is set to return to All My Children, the actress gave a hint, saying 'we'll all find out very soon.' She added that her character's decision to return to Pine Valley was because she wanted to help Zach.

Aside from Zach, Hannah is set to develop a friendship with Krystal Carey, who is played by Emmy award-nominated actress Bobbie Eakes.

“It's nice… that they're taking her out of Cambias and letting Hannah see what webs she can weave elsewhere,” Haiduk told Soap OperaDigest. “There are some great scenes and I think Bobbie's excited, too.”
