What to do when your warm market isn't!

By: Roderick Armstrong

Perhaps you've recently begun an MLM business of some type. As a new distributor/business owner one of the first things you do is follow your sponsors instructions and begin making a list of everyone you know. This is known as your "warm market."

The purpose of the "warm market" exercise is to use a thought jogger to go through a list of everyone you know or do business with on a regular basis so that you can see just how many people you already know that you can introduce your opportunity to.

With all the excitement you can muster, you pull out the "warm market script" that your sponsor gave you and you get busy working your rolodex. As you go through all of the numbers you notice that your warm market has begun to feel a little "hostile." Some of your closest friends and family will intentionally not use your goods or services. It's almost as if they don't want to see you succeed in your new business.

Slowly, the reality begins to set in as you realize that many of your friends and family have no intention of every doing business with you. How do you explain that? What's more how do you mend the strained relationships that have come from your attempt to believe that you can build a better future for your family.

I can't explain their behavior but I do have the solution. You can make the most out of the internet if you're willing to learn some basic internet marketing skills. It may seem scary at first but you must know that you can do anything that someone else can do if you will take the time to learn how to market on the web. It's really quite simple once you learn.

At this point, I don't even discuss my MLM vusinesses with my warm market. They're happy because they don't have to avoid me any more and I'm happy because I now earn a lot more from the web than I ever did using the traditional MLM model. My encouragement to you is that learning to market on the web is like any other skill. You start with baby steps at first and when you look back at your progress after a very short time, you will be amazed.

Keep believing in your dreams. Do not let temporary difficulties stop you from progressing and learning new skills. As Bob Proctor of "The Secret" said "you must believe your dreams are possible for you." I am here to help you and I wish you the best in your venture. Peace...
